DMAIC Introductory Course

I was sub-contracted to assist with an 8 module course that started out as a PowerPoint presentations, but did not have the capability to provide the learner with a robust standalone eLearning program.  On my advice, the client agreed to allow me to build out each module in Articulate Storyline by uploading the slide decks he created.   Each module of the course was then uploaded to the company’s existing Learning Management System.  This allowed the client to track the learner’s progress with each module.

Process

After importing the client’s PowerPoints into Storyline, I made sure that the images and text were placed in a visually appealing way.  When assisting the client with content structure, I organized it in a way that would take the learner through the content by scaffolding the information so that new content was continually building upon prior content.  The client and I would then discuss my recommended structure and make agreed upon changes so that the content is presented in a way that will make sense to the learner.  Additionally, we then worked together to create Knowledge Checks throughout the module.
