Overview

For this course, I initially created a module on the warning signs of human trafficking for a job interview. I decided to expand upon the original module and created an entire introductory course.  

Process

For this course, I utilized Mayer’s 12 Principle of Multimedia design, specifically the Coherence Principle, the Redundancy Principle, the Modality Principle, the Multimedia Principle, the Personalization Principle, and the Voice Principle.  Keeping in the mind these principles allowed me to create a interesting, and robust course.   I believe narration is an important tool to add interest to a course, especially if the narration is less formal and more conversational (the Personalization Principle), so when I approached scripting the course, I kept that in mind.  I recorded the narration using a Blue Yeti microphone, and edited the audio using Adobe Audition.
